Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kotori ("the Service"). By creating an account, you agree to the following.

1. What the Service is

The Service monitors registered websites from the outside (uptime, SSL certificate, domain expiration, and more) and produces and sends a monthly report summarizing the results. Monitoring only covers what is reachable from outside the site and does not guarantee the integrity or security of the site's internals.

2. Your account

You are responsible for registering and managing your account. We are not liable for damage caused by unauthorized use of your account credentials by a third party. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings page.

3. Fees and payment

The Free plan is free to use. Paid plan pricing is shown on the pricing page and on the checkout screen before you confirm your purchase. Payment is by credit card via Stripe, billed automatically every month. You can cancel anytime; after cancellation you retain paid-plan features until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds.

4. Prohibited use

You may not register a site you do not have administrative rights to, place excessive load on the Service, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose or one that violates public order and morals. We may suspend accounts found in violation.

5. Changes and suspension of the Service

We may add or change features, or temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance. If we discontinue the Service, we will notify you by email in advance.

6. Disclaimer

We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of monitoring, notifications, or reports. We are not liable for damage arising from delayed or missed detection or notification of an outage. Where we are liable for damages, our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in fees over the preceding month.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as needed. We will notify you of material changes via the dashboard or by email; changes take effect once posted on this page.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes relating to the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our location.
